Philips DVDR3320V/05 DVD Recorder/VCR Combi
Customer Review: No fast forward when viewing AVI/DivX movies
One killer feature this recorder has is DivX playback, which in my mind makes it different from the usual supermarket combos. But unfortunatly you cannot fast forward when you are viewing an AVI/DivX movie!!!
You would be better off with one from Asda!
Customer Review: Lot of Effort on behalf of MKA.
The company did a first class job in getting to grips with the carriers that evevtually found and delivered a good piece of gear, superb for what I wanted the unit for. Now lots of time is needed in gradually turning my VHS recordings into DVD. There seems nothing that MKA will do to get a satisfied customer.

Customer Review: Defective by design
This Samsung product has many great features. HDMI, HD compliant, 250GB and so on. Yet it will have you cursing at the device within hours of starting to use it. When programs are to be recorded using the timer capability, the device must be turned off. If you are playing something at the time, it will not record. So you must switch it off, let it start recording, then go back to what you were watching before, which naturally it has forgotten about leading to irritating searches. Then when the timed recording finishes, it switches off the device, regardless of what you were doing. It is intensely annoying to use. Not a good feature in a TV recorder. Other systems do not have this design flaw. One can only speculate as to why Samsung designers might consider this a sensible feature as it so obviously is not.

After a twelve-year hiatus, Bruce Willis is back as New York City detective John McClane, who still plays by his own set of rules. Following DIE HARD (1988), DIE HARD 2 (1990), and DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE (1995), the fourth instalment in the popular action series stars DEADWOOD’s Timothy Olyphant as Thomas Gabriel, an evil mastermind who is determined to bring down the entire infrastructure of the United States on Independence Day, sending the country into anarchy and chaos. Joining him on his mission of destruction is the elegant Mai, played by Maggie Q from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III. McClane becomes involved when he gets caught in the crossfire while transporting prisoner Matt Farrell (Justin Long, IDIOCRACY), a hacker extraordinaire who is the perfect complement to the old-school McClane, who eschews mobile phones, computers, and doing anything the easy way. But when Gabriel kidnaps McClane’s daughter, Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead, DEATH PROOF), it gets personal. Full of the sarcastic humour, exciting action sequences–including a car flying into a helicopter–and fun characters that have defined the series, DIE HARD 4.0 is an excellent addition, directed by Len Wiseman (UNDERWORLD). The movie also features Kevin Smith as a computer geek known as Warlock, who still lives in his mother’s basement. This DVD is an officially released overseas import which is Region 3 coded and requires a multi region DVD player for playback. It has the original English soundtrack which can be selected from the DVD setup menu.
