Philips DVDR3320V/05 DVD Recorder/VCR Combi

Philips DVDR3320V/05 DVD Recorder/VCR Combi
Customer Review: No fast forward when viewing AVI/DivX movies
One killer feature this recorder has is DivX playback, which in my mind makes it different from the usual supermarket combos. But unfortunatly you cannot fast forward when you are viewing an AVI/DivX movie!!!
You would be better off with one from Asda!
Customer Review: Lot of Effort on behalf of MKA.
The company did a first class job in getting to grips with the carriers that evevtually found and delivered a good piece of gear, superb for what I wanted the unit for. Now lots of time is needed in gradually turning my VHS recordings into DVD. There seems nothing that MKA will do to get a satisfied customer.

Customer Review: poor product from a good brand
I bought this as I have a Toshiba HD TV. Very happy with the TV, this product is poor, poor menus, poor setup, poor HDMI connectivity. It actually worked better through SCART than HDMI. Even simply playing a DVD caused flickering on the top and pottom 4 to 5 pixels when using HDMI.
Customer Review: Good value with good features
This is my first dip into DVD Recorder/HDMI waters & did lots of research before buying this player,I have a Toshiba 37″ LCD so that swayed me somewhat. I have had none of the problems written about by the other reviewers, It’s been easy to to set up has performed without a hitch in every aspect,ok The build quality is’nt great but overall good value for money I also use a learning remote to control all the system so the original remote is not required. Considering the price & all the features it has I think I got a good buy & not at all disapointed I therefore give it 5 stars.
Yamada DVR 8000 DVD-Player with DVD-Recorder
Amazon Price: ?229.99
Customer Review: Yamada DVR 8000 - hopeless - beware
The only thing that is easy is playing a DVD. Recording - the instructions are so bad that you need a day to figure it out; it doesn’t scan the channels properly or accept manual input and the timer won’t store instructions so we’ve never managed to record the right programme! When playing a DVD you can hear the TV in the background and you can’t record something whilst watching another channel. Perhaps this can be sorted out with some technical support - but they don’t respond to email requests, the support telephone lines go to an answer machine or give you some instructions to prepare for the support - and then hang up. We will have to buy another one now.
