Customer Review: Great tv, but is the euro version
I bought this tv last week, as my father has a 42wlt66, which apart from slow remote response are both excellent tvs. Yes this is a euro version, but it does not affect use in the uk, as you just select english language. Ive set up freeview no problems and red button interactive works fine. For the price i dont mind its not a full uk version. End of the day we are part of the eu and have the normal warranty via amazon. Back to the tv, sd signals are great, much better than a cheap tft i had recently, and i use an xbox360 and it looks fantastic, the tv will accept a 1080p signal but as it is not a true 1080 screen it will be downscaled, i cannot make out any difference between 720i 1080i 1080p for games. Improvement over the wlt66 is that you can press ok to get straight into the input selection menu. The swivel stand is great but it does poke out quite a bit. Overall very impressive 32″ at a good price, what sold it to me was 3 hdmi ports and 100hz.
Customer Review: Beware ‘PG’ model in UK
Beware of this product as according to Toshiba UK the PG means it is meant for the French market not the UK, affecting set-up and access to services e.g. interactive ‘red button’ The carrier also says there is a large F stamped on the box which people believe means Freeview but it would appear probably means France! They have had reports from people that they can’t get the TV to work properly. 32WLT68 is a superb TV but 32WLT68PG is not ,in the UK!

Customer Review: OK if you only move side to side
I picked up one of these a couple of days ago for the bedroom. Installations and set up are very easy; with analogue and digital channels all atomatically tuned in without me having to grab for the manual. Problem I’ve got though, is that the brightness and colour balance varies significantly depending on the angle at which you are viewing the screen. It’s fine if you move side to side, but not so if you move up and down, getting lighter as you go higher and darker as you go lower. This seems to be a charcteristic of Philips LCD TVs, as I’ve since been into a couple of shops and looked at other brands and they don’t do the same thing (or if they do it’s a lot less pronounced), but the Philips LCDs have done the same. By setting the brightness so it’s OK when I’m sat up in bed, the screen is very bright when I’m walking about. Another odment is the digi programme guide, which doesn’t show what’s on by time, only by order - so you can’t immediately see what programmes are on at the same time or overlap

There isn’t much more than can be said about this TV that hasn’t already been covered. This TV is amazing, works well with Sky Hd incase anyone wasn’t sure before buying, Xbox 360 looks amazing too (TV is able to take the 360 VGA cable for sharper images). One cool feature of this TV is the image stabilising software, so where cheaper LCD TV’s sometimes judder on moving shots this baby looks crystal clear. Really sexy looking unit. I was told by the shop that sold me this TV that the speaker casing inside the TV was made of Bamboo to improve quality? less vibration etc don’t know if that’s true but you can have the volume turned right up with no distortion, I think its safe to say if you own this TV like I do, there isn’t another 32″ LCD TV on the market which is better than this one.
Customer Review: Money well spent
I like many of you who read the reviews, rely on the honest judgement of fellow consumers as to whether it is a worthwhile purchase. And I can definitely say that the Panny 700 is well worth the wait (when they come into stock!). After reading reviews and magazine articles, the LXD700 was the clear favourite even against the Sony D3000 (at a similar price). Personally I would recommend spending the extra ?150 odd for the LXD700 model rather than the LXD70 model. The extra HDMI and SD card slot will always come in handy in the future, and the sound on this model compared to the LXD70 is worth the money alone in my opinion. The picture is fantastic, eventhough my freeview reception is pretty poor where I live. And it is when you play a DVD through HDMI or use the Xbox360 is when the true testament to how good this LCD really is compared to the cheaper ?500 ones. I would certainly recommend it…go on…treat yourself!
