Samsung LE32M87 - 32″ Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview
Samsung 32″ HD LCD TV with Integrated Digital Tuner
Customer Review: Great HDMI picture, weak sound
The M87, 100hrz machine is an excellent piece of equipment. Coupled with a respectable upscaling DVD player, picture quality from Blazing Saddles to Black Hawk Down is excellent. The colour, tone and contrast settings do need adjusting to match your particularlikes/dislikes but the menu structure is intuitive. Sound quality is weak when compared to the picture quality standards set by this machine. However, if you use the optical out and connect to surround sound system the issue ceases to exist. I use the Denon s301 as the upscaling DVD sound system. For those with Top Up TV there is a card reader slot. If PVR is not important to you then the combination of Freeview and Top Up eliminates another box of living room clutter. The set has almost all connection capability known, including 3 HDMI, one on the side for ease of access for portable devices e.g.Video Cameras, laptops. The Freeview programme menu display is similar to Sky in structure (but clearly not content). However moving between channels may feel slow to some users that expect instantaneous transistion. I have yet to make the samsung handset codes activate the Denon controls, but this maybe user incompetence. The 100hz label simply means that the refresh rate of the screen is quicker than other LCD TVs making action sequences (like football) that much more clear. Shop around on price as there is a c?200 difference between on the high street and on line.

Freecom Digital TV DVB-T USB Stick Freeview receiver, black
With the Freecom DVB-T USB Stick, you can watch and record Freeview digital TV and Radio on your computer without monthly subscription. The Freecom DVB-T USB stick is characterized by amazing compact dimensions of only 28 x 15 x 86 mm and an ultra-light weight of 25 grams. This minute digital receiver is therefore perfect for mobile, cordless TV and radio reception. The only equipment required is a laptop or desktop with a USB 2.0 port. An IEC connector is also included to connect to a normal aerial to get better signal. The Freecom DVB-T USB stick offers much more besides convincingly sharp picture quality; in combination with the hard disk, it becomes a digital video recorder. In this case the user has the choice between “live” recording and convenient programming by means of the timer function. This is where the EPG comes into its own, which lists the complete TV schedule of all broadcasters, and provides brief descriptions of the individual programmes. Accessories Included Freecom DVB-T USB STICK External DVB-T antenna Remote control USB extension cable Quick Installation Guide Freecom warranty registration form Freecom manual & application CD 2 Years manufacturers warranty and unlimited helpdesk support

Customer Review: Super product at a market leading price
I have had excellent results with this product i picked up all the same channels as i did with my house aerial. This product is well packaged and easy to use, the remote control is a useful addition. Coming up to Christmas at this price it makes it an ideal stocking filler !
Customer Review: Digital TV stick
Maybe my signal area isn’t too hot but i found this piece of kit to be pretty bad. I couldn’t pick up alot of channels that i thought would be a given. I couldn’t get any of channel 4’s catalogue other than e4+1 and i struggled with ITV’s armoury too. I often had drop outs and annoyingly long freezes, whilst my digibox in the room next door worked perfectly. the little arial it comes with is a joke. anyone that tells you they get a picture with that sorry excuse for an arial is a joker too. The remote control is about as convenient as getting up off of your comfy chair and using your mouse, which doesn’t give using the mouse enough credit. I ended up returning mine after a week, after feeling that there could be better products on the market. There were. I exchanged mine for a KV World PCI option, which instantly picked up every channel in a quater of the time and came with a fantastic remote control (and receiver too). I’m now able to sit anywhere and shut my PC down with this remote. Very usefull. No signal drop outs and no problem scanning. I wouldn’t recomend this knowing there are other options that are much better on the market. I never tried the recording with the Freecom DVB USB stick but with the constant drop outs it didn’t seem worth it.
