Customer Review: At the right price
If you can get this cheap, which I did (?799.99), this is well worth buying. At that price its a big TV for your money. The picture quality is good, but this is not HD ready and you can now get HD ready TVs for the same price Amazon are selling this for. Maybe not 42″ but I’ve seen 37″ LCD HD ready for ?999.99. The first one I had delivered had to go back as it turned itself off every 2 mins. Be aware that the box this (and probably any 42″) TV is delivered in is huge, and ideally you want to keep the box in the event of having to return it like I did. Its a lot of cardboard! However when its replacement was delivered a few days later the delivery men said that it was “unusual for these to go wrong”. The replacement has been fine and I am very happy with it.

Only add it two days but i love it picture quality on freeview is not the best but i think it is down to freeview not the TV,DVD picture is great and the sound is good. picture in picture only works if you are using the DVI port. The stand could be better and the instructions are a waist of time. But all in all its a nice TV and you won’t be to disappointed

Customer Review: Great HD LCD - SD & contrast could be better
Had this for a month, it is a great LCD TV, can not fault it in HD, XBOX games look great in 720p or 1080i, as a large PC monitor its stunning even when playing Divx movies, and progresive scan (576p) helps my DVDs (Not HD yet). My main issues are contrast and SD, in low light scenes the image can seem gradiated like 16bit in comparison to a 32bit PC desktop, also standard SD images are lacking definition, though these may be general ‘features’ of large LCD display’s and their low contrast ratio in comparison with Plasma, my BIL has a 42″ Panasonic Plasma so perhaps an unfair comparison.
Customer Review: Simply an amazing piece of technology.
We’ve had this TV for a week now and we simply cannot find a single fault with it. From the clear crisp image to the gigantic screen everything is perfect! Even the price was great (Currys sale ?699 or ?899 with DVD Home Cinema Surround Sound + Glass stand), bargain! If you’re thinking of buying a HD TV for christmas, or just in general, I totally recommend the Sony Bravia range. The only thing I would suggest is to shop around, you can get this 40″ for a much lower price elsewhere. But overall, this TV is amazing. Watching HD DVDs and playing my Wii on this is fantastic. Thanks Sony.
