Easy Touch - 19″ Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Integrated Multi-Region DVD Player & Freeview
Customer Review: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
On the face of it, a good specification TFT HD TV with Freeview and integrated DVD. Unwrap the box (not obviously marked)and…broken stand (well I thought about wall mounting anyway)..plug in TV and it’s an absolute pain to tune (no easy onscreen instructions or even a decent instruction manual to rely on)…okay, let’s try the DVD….boot the DVD and it sounds like a Harrier jump jet taking off (what a racket) and to top it all a dead pixel near the centre of the screen. Give up the will to live and end up paying ?20 for the pleasure of returning the item.
Not a goog experience. Went to Comet, spent ?100 more but got a brilliant Grundig.
Customer Review: Close, but no cigar…
We use this as our main TV as don’t have space for anything much larger.
That means it has been used quite a bit over Christmas, having been delivered late November.
Firstly I have to agree with earlier complaints - the instruction booklet was very feeble and downright wrong in some respects (like which way round the DVD disc should be inserted).
Also, not being particularly up to speed on modern terminology, it took me quite a while to find the Freeview / digital mode as didn’t realise that this was what DTV stood for. It doesn’t actually say that anywhere on the box or within the instruction manual. You need to be in this mode to scan and select the freeview channels.
Once that is done then it’s a pretty good picture - but there are still some annoying aspects:
1. As mentioned elsewhere, in digital mode sometimes the sound gets slightly out of synch with the picture. Briefly turning the set off and back on sorts that.
2. The remote isn’t the best piece of kit - slightly illogical buttons and again, as mentioned before, you have to be pointing directly at the set’s IR receiver to get it to work. You also seem to have to press hard on the buttons to get a response.
3. Once you have got your aim right, it is slow to change channels - and that is frustrating when you are channel-hopping to find something (anything!) else whenever the wretched adverts come on.
Don’t have this problem with a cheap 15″ LCD TV in the bedroom.
We also have a dead pixel but fortunately this is high up on the left and not a problem.
We like the colour, design and the integrated functions of the DVD (works fine and silent when playing) & Freeview.
In summary, I get on with it quite well but the Missus struggles with the remote and I just know that one day I’ll come home to find it halfway through the screen…
Worth ?200? I suppose so. Would an extra ?50 spent on a different make get you the same spec but with greater efficiency? Don’t know.

Customer Review: Good picture but regret to buy it
The TV has very clear and sharp picture but the menu is very slow to respond and channels view is not that good. The bad thing is that it turns itseld on and off when its on standby. I just bought it a month ago and I have noticed this while I was awake one night decorating. If I have to go back on time, I will defenitly buy another brand.

Customer Review: Suprised at how good it is
I bought this tv for my family as a present for christmas, and was suprised to find how good this tv is for the price. I looked at it in the shops first to ensure that the quality is good, and its better than some of the much more expensive 42″ plasmas made by other companies. Overall, the picture quality is excellent, especially with the new upscaling dvd player I also bought from amazon. I would agree with the other reviews that the only down fall is the freeview, its not that bad, but I have seen better. This doesnt really affect us though as we have sky and rarely use the built in freeview. Looks very good, has great picture, is HD ready and the sound is also very good. I would definatley reccomend this tv to others for its quality for price.
Customer Review: Well worth the price
I bought this TV a couple of weeks ago, and I am still blown away by the quality of the picture and the general all round class of it. Have Sky HD and watching sport on this screen has reminded both me and my husband of courting days spent at Anfield. I went for this set because it was a reasonably priced model from a good manufacturer and I think it is one of the wisest buying decisions I have made in a long time.
