Freecom Digital TV DVB-T USB Stick Freeview receiver, black

Freecom Digital TV DVB-T USB Stick Freeview receiver, black
With the Freecom DVB-T USB Stick, you can watch and record Freeview digital TV and Radio on your computer without monthly subscription.

The Freecom DVB-T USB stick is characterized by amazing compact dimensions of only 28 x 15 x 86 mm and an ultra-light weight of 25 grams. This minute digital receiver is therefore perfect for mobile, cordless TV and radio reception. The only equipment required is a laptop or desktop with a USB 2.0 port. An IEC connector is also included to connect to a normal aerial to get better signal.

The Freecom DVB-T USB stick offers much more besides convincingly sharp picture quality; in combination with the hard disk, it becomes a digital video recorder. In this case the user has the choice between “live” recording and convenient programming by means of the timer function. This is where the EPG comes into its own, which lists the complete TV schedule of all broadcasters, and provides brief descriptions of the individual programmes.

Customer Review: Super product at a market leading price
I have had excellent results with this product i picked up all the same channels as i did with my house aerial. This product is well packaged and easy to use, the remote control is a useful addition. Coming up to Christmas at this price it makes it an ideal stocking filler !

Customer Review: Digital TV stick
Maybe my signal area isn’t too hot but i found this piece of kit to be pretty bad. I couldn’t pick up alot of channels that i thought would be a given. I couldn’t get any of channel 4’s catalogue other than e4+1 and i struggled with ITV’s armoury too.

I often had drop outs and annoyingly long freezes, whilst my digibox in the room next door worked perfectly.

the little arial it comes with is a joke. anyone that tells you they get a picture with that sorry excuse for an arial is a joker too. The remote control is about as convenient as getting up off of your comfy chair and using your mouse, which doesn’t give using the mouse enough credit.

I ended up returning mine after a week, after feeling that there could be better products on the market.

There were. I exchanged mine for a KV World PCI option, which instantly picked up every channel in a quater of the time and came with a fantastic remote control (and receiver too). I’m now able to sit anywhere and shut my PC down with this remote. Very usefull. No signal drop outs and no problem scanning.

I wouldn’t recomend this knowing there are other options that are much better on the market. I never tried the recording with the Freecom DVB USB stick but with the constant drop outs it didn’t seem worth it.

With stylish state-of-the-art super slimline and lightweight design, outstanding picture and sound quality and user friendly features. It becomes an ideal TV and media player for kitchen, bedroom, caravan, boat and travelers. Please note that there may be difficulty to receive freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong. This is due to that the freeview service (www.freeview.co.uk) in the UK does not fully support portable TV antenna at present. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program (http://www.digitaltelevision.gov.uk). A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception capability in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (Please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings and etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to watch freeview channels in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.
Customer Review: Extremely good
I have been looking for a TV and DVD combi for my caravan for quiet a while. This one meets all my requirements. It receives analogue and freeview TV channels, plays DVD discs plus music, photos from my USB dongle and SD cards. Brilliant picture quality and stereo sound, perfectly for my caravan. We have experienced Freeview signal difficulty in some places, but it all sorted out when connecting to a portable amplified antenna. Now I can enjoy the football when staying with my family at caravan sites. I am really glad I have bought this TV.
