Geniatech X8000T PCI Freeview HDTV & Analogue TV & FM Radio 3-in-One Card - Support Windows Vista
Geniatech X8000T is a DVB-T + Analogue TV + FM 3-in-One TV/Radio card enabling you to turn your PC to a digital TV and DVD recorder. The digital tuner/receiver enables you to watch over 30 Freeview channels and listen to over 20 digital radio stations in areas where the signal is strong. The analogue tuner/receiver allows you to watch analogue TV in traditional way (in areas not covered by Freeview service yet or the signal insufficient) and listen to FM Radio stations. You can record your favourite TV programmes on your hard drive by instant, with time-shifting and schedule recording modes. It comes with a software CD, a portable TV antenna, FM radio antenna and remote control with receiver cable. All you need to do is to plug the device to a PCI slot of your computer, insert the CD and install the software by following the instructions. Your computer will start working immediately for you as a high-definition TV and DVD recorder. There may be difficulty to receive freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong. This is due to that the freeview service (www.freeview.co.uk) in the UK is not fully operating yet. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program. A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception capability in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings and etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to watch freeview channels in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.

Setanta Sports CAM Pack - Setanta Starter Pack For Digital Freeview TV’s
Used Price: ?35.99
Customer Review: Conditional approval
Some things anyone considering getting Setanta by the Freeview+CAM method should be aware of. 1. The closedown period. Setanta won’t tell you this, but you won’t get any programmes before noon. This means that if you got Setanta because they were claiming to show, for instance, NRL rugby from Australia, you will not be able to see ANY live matches. You have to wait for whatever they might choose to repeat at a later date. 2. Setanta’s Freeview channel has a different schedule to Setanta 1. I have searched all over their website, and no listing is to be found for the Freeview channel. Extremely unhelpful. 3. In addition, your TV’s EPG may list one programme while a completely different programme is actually being broadcast. Very sloppy. BUT… I’m sticking with Setanta for now. Why? Because even repeated NRL matches are better than nothing, and they have been getting some of the tastiest Boxing matches around recently. I’m also intrigued by this IPL Cricket tournament. You pays your money, you makes your choice.
Customer Review: They make it sound so simple.
The pack is a DVD case with CAM module and a viewing card and some set up instructions. I thought all I needed to do was put the viewing card in the CAM then put the CAM in the slot in the side of my digital T.V. Then all I needed to do was go online and register my personal and credit card details. How wrong I was. Firstly, the website requires you to purchase a CAM module from Setanta Sports even if you already have one (that needs sorting). Secondly, after phoning Setanta Sports to register I was told the channel would be on my T.V. in fifteen minutes. It was not. I followed the VERY lengthy set up procedure included in the pack but to no avail. I went back to the website and followed the set up instructions on there and … it worked. The procedure is - get this - turn the T.V. off at the wall and insert CAM module then turn it on to Channel 5 for 30 minutes then turn it off at the wall again for 15 seconds then turn it on to Channel 5 again. When I went to Channel 34 I found Setanta sports there. To be honest I’m not a big football fan but I am a fan of Boxing, Joe Calzaghe and the UFC. Setanta Sports seemed to be offering a service I could not refuse at ?9.99 a month with all the Premiership exclusives, World Cup qualifiers, Touring Cars, etc included. The actual content of the service is very good if only they could make the set up procedure alot easier.
