Philips 47PFL7642D - 47″ Widescreen 1080P Full HD LCD TV -With Freeview
Customer Review: Good Stuff
Overall this is a great TV, it has everything you would expect of a TV of this standard, quick channel changing, easy menus, a great deal of handy features & loads of image & sound enhancing technology.
A great buy at this price though, i don’t think you can find a TV with as many features as this at the same size for any cheaper.
The only downside is the running temperature, you can feel the heat coming off the screen at even 2 feet away. I’m not sure if this is the case with all LCD’s this size or not, but it will save you money on central heating atleast.
A strongly reccomended purchase.
Customer Review: Fantastic!
I was a bit wary about buying this set as I couldn’t find many reviews. The price was excellent though - and considerably cheaper at amazon than elsewhere.
I decided to take the plunge and upgrade my 32″ widescreen JVC CRT.
I have to say I am exceptionally pleased with the quality and picture - I used the supplied stand which was very easy to set up (6 screws).
I have it linked up to Virgin V+ box, Xbox with XBMC, HD-DVD, and Denon upscaling DVD player. The sound is routed through an amp - so can’t really comment about the sound (but seemed OK when I set it up)
The picture is particularly impressive with HD channels on the V+ box (at 1080i), but the quality of the picture on (most) normal channels is surprisingly good and much better than on a normal TV.
Overall I am happy, and hope this will be pretty “futureproof”

The xsender Has a pedigree unsurpassed with a stunning ability to relay signals from your existing digibox or freeview decorder to other tvs in your home. Unique to the xSender series is the digiconnector, a clever way of using SCART socket on the back of any set top box and leaving the SCART output still avaibilble for the main tv. fitted in minutes. Stunning picture clarity. Crystal clear Hi-Fi stereo sound. works through walls and ceilings. sends your digital channel all round your home. Digiconnector SCART input means no spare sockets are needed on your digibox!.

Customer Review: Great when it works!
I Have owned one of these sets since November 06 and was until recently very happy with it. Picture and sound quality are great, and unlike some reviews here I have had no problems with Freeview, at least not since I had a proper aerial upgrade. Neither have I had any problems with connectivity to an external DVD/HD recorder. However, I have just had to return mine for repair due to a screen fault. I switched on this morning and had sound but no picture. Just to rub salt into the wound, I phoned the Philips support centre, which by the way is a premium rate number, and after holding for around ten minutes at my cost, I was told that they do not send a courier to collect faulty TV’s under a 26″ screen size unless the customer pays for the transit insurance! Deciding that I could not be bothered with the hassle and the extra cost of arranging transit insurance, and coupled with having to wait in for couriers to arrive, I decided to return the TV to the repair centre myself, a round trip of nearly 200 miles. Fortunately I had the time to do this, but still had to bear the cost of the fuel myself. So in summary, a great TV when it works, but just beware that if you do have problems a free warranty repair isn’t exactly free! Having said that, the staff at the repair centre were extremely helpful. Hopefully it will be back in a few days in full working order.
Customer Review: phillips 26″
After days of deliberating over various styles and makes, ordered this tv on friday night got it delivered free on thursday, fantastic looking tv, very easy to install, great picture, set it up to your own preferences, only thing is the cable is very short, but that is my only gripe, would recommend it, for a small room, lacking in space. Already got a 32″ and needed a 26″ for a small sitting room. So far so good, and the kids love it.
