August DA920A is high quality digital and analogue TV designed for you to watch Freeview TV where the signal is strong (a rooftop aerial should be used in some regions) and meanwhile guarantee to receive traditional analogue channels everywhere. It should be an ideal TV for Kitchen and bedrooms. With an optional external battery box (supplied separately with 10×2500mAh rechargeable AA batteries at ?22.49), you can watch TV while boating, camping, at beach or in your garden. It can transfer Freeview TV to a larger screen TV as a set-top box, display pictures as a digital photo frame and also be used as a high quality monitor for a video player and game console. Please note that there may be difficulty to receive freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong. This is due to that the freeview service (www.freeview.co.uk) in the UK does not fully support portable TV antenna at present. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program (http://www.digitaltelevision.gov.uk). A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception capability in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (Please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings and etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to watch freeview channels in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.
Customer Review: Nice, but no Teletext
This Television installed the digital channels itself automatically without any difficulty, same for the analogue stations. The screen size is excellent on the desktop here where a 14″ screen would have been way too large. The only negative factor is that despite the remote control and the handbook describing Teletext reception, I couldn’t receive it at all. An e-mail to the supplier has just now disclosed that this set doesn’t support teletext apparently.
Customer Review: Great TV rubbish sound
I can’t fault the TV, the amount of options and adjustments is more than is needed but the one adjustment that was left out was for the tone, the sound is dreadfull, i’ve even tried covering the speakers with foam to take away the tinny sound but there is so little base that it only reduces the volume. The only reason i have kept it is because it fits a hole and i can’t find anything else that will.

Customer Review: Fantastic picture quality for such a little unit
This is great unit for the money, the picture quality is unbelievably good. I did struggle to get the freeview channels on the indoor aerial but once connected to the house aerial there was no problem at all. The only thing I would say against it is that if you want to play music DVD’s the sound is a little “tinny” and you may be disappointed but as a tv and dvd (film) player it is brilliant. Not only that it looks good too.

I picked this Freeview TV and DVD player after a massive search, it has got quite a number of unique features, which convinced me to go for it, and I am really pleased my choice is right. It has analogue and Freeview tuner built-in, I can get perfect Freeview TVs in my bedroom upstairs using the small antenna supplied, although downstairs in my kitchen the picture is a little bit fuzzy and I have to use the rooftop aerial. The picture quality is brilliant, so does the sound. The multiregion feature plays discs we brought back from States. The TV also has card reader and USB port, so I can view my photos on the TV without my computer. This is a brilliant all-in-one device, and I am really pleased with it.
