Was hesitating to get an X series but I decided finally to save ?500,given that it seems that the performancs are almost identical.
Got my 46″ W series delivered yesterday. What can I say?
Perfect build quality, no dead pixels, no bleeding…
Couple it with an XBOX360 and max the resolution trough the VGA connexion —- you will be blown away!!! No smearing, no double picture…
Fantastic colours and lots of connectivity in the back…
SD picture is ok, I expected it to be worse and it is not that bad…
Sound is fine too, although cant obviously beat a good set of 5.1 speakers…
All in all, a very good product. I honestly recommended it

Customer Review: Great telly but no 24fps mode for HD-DVD / Blu Ray
Everything about this TV is top-notch, apart from it not having a 24fps mode for HD-DVD players. This means certain scenes on HDDVDS (and BluRay) will appear jerky (like they are running at about 10 frames per second) because of…well, it’s too complicated to go into here but suffice to say you will be very upset if you buy a player and try and watch Planet Earth on it. Any scene with lots of moving detail (shots from the air mainly) look terrible. Apparently the only solution is to buy a 24fps telly - my player is 24fps compatible, I assumed this TV was too, but sadly it’s not. SIGH. ?900 for a telly which can’t play HD-DVDs properly…how annoying. Need to find someone to offload this onto asap…

The television was a replacement but the old TV worked fine. However, hubby fell for the bargain within the Sony shop. They have some real bargains so we bought a Sony DVD player/recorder at the same time. There was just no ’setting up’ involved. The pair ‘married’ when plugged in and even the SKY hand control works properly now - turns TV off even! Both hand controls work either Sony TV or Recorder so hunting for the correct one is a thing of the past. Haven’t felt the need to purchase HD from SKY as the quality is great. I think the TV is ahead of it’s time. Going back to buy hubby a set of surround sound speakers for his Christmas present (his idea not mine). Can’t wait personally.

Got this TV over 3 months ago and I could be happier, it looks superb and the 1080i picture quality form my Xbox 360 is unbelievably crystal clear… much better than my brother’s 1080p Samsung! The TV/menu is so user friendly that even my wife could pick it up immediately The service from Amazon was amazing and the delivery time was extremely accurate. I bought it on a Monday and then receive a confirmation email, it stated delivery would be in 4 days arriving between 7am-10am. On the day before delivery, Amazon called and confirmed if delivery time was still okay, then on the morning of delivery, they called again at 7am and said they’ll be here in 20 mins, which they were. Product and service was awesome, highly recommended and would definitely use again.

I bought this tv when our other one died,and although I was very apprehensive,I couldn’t have made a better choice. We looked at all the models in the shops and were only left confused by the different opinions we were given. Delivery was faultless, we had it a mere four days after ordering. The set up took mere minutes, we have no dead pixels (Thank God), the picture is brilliant and it DOES have an ON/OFF button. (many of these tv’s need to be turned off at the plug or left on standby apparently) We don’t have a surround system but it’s not a problem. The sound on this telly is amazingly good. My husband is a musician and very fussy about this issue, but even he agrees it can’t be faulted. I have since seen the same tv for sale in the high street at a much higher price!! We give it five stars and recommend it highly. Thank you Amazon for a top rate telly at a bargain price!
