Customer Review: No frills, no fuss, just gets on with the job
Bought this sat nav as it was the cheapest TomTom there was(everyone seems to recommend TomTom),and we only wanted it for use in the UK. Very easy to use, instantly worked out a new route when we took a wrong turn. Knocked spots off the nav man we had borrowed before. Took a little bit of getting used to some of the phrases it uses, but only a minor quibble.Screen is very clear and easy to follow. Would definately recommend.

Customer Review: No bluetooth!
This is a great device and has some marked improvements in its software over previous editions. Having been involved in an accident in a remote country lane, I am particularly impressed by the ‘Where am I?’ feature that displays a simple sentence you can read out to the emergency services.

I’m not that bothered by the loss of the SD card slot but my major niggle is the fact that there is no longer a bluetooth connection to a mobile device. I upgraded from 2nd Edition to 3rd Edition because of a faulty device and my TomTom Traffic subscription is now useless.

Traffic updates can now only be retrieved via a plug-in RDS-TMC receiver (more dashboard spaghetti!) which bizarrely is not available to buy and TomTom have no idea of when it will be!

A very versatile little unit but if you want traffic updates… forget it!

Customer Review: Brilliant, but shop around
Bought this for our tour of Europe in the summer and it really delivered the goods.
We visited Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France, and never faltered. (one new road system it was fooled on, but other than that…)
The window mount was pretty rubbish, and our campervan has a deep windscreen so it didn’t suit, but I found a wee cubbyhole near the gearstick and used that. We upgraded to the FM transmitter, which allowed us to play our iPod through the radio, and I would highly recommend this (Euro radio stations are rubbish). The nice lady interrupted the music to tell us where to go, and all in all this thing saved my marriage, and allowed us to take a holiday I could never have dreamed of taking 2 or 3 years ago.
But shop around. It’s pretty dear, and I although I got mine for ?250 on Amazon, the price varies. Oh, and have a paperclip handy, it has been known to freeze (see other reviews)
