Customer Review: A VERY CHEAP HDD DIGITAL CAMCORDER.
I must confess that I was shocked to find such an advanced camcorder at such a low price. I have had two Sony video 8 camcorders over the past 15 or so years and there bulk means limited use. My old Video 8 now has problems so I never realised I could afford a HDD camera. The Jvc with it’s 20GB HDD gives a fantastic recording all of which can be edited on the P.C . I have yet to try this out so I can’t comment as yet but I can’t wait to give it a go. There are three issues that let this camera down however - one being the poor LCD screen that’s difficult to watch while recording due to it’s viewing range. The second being the poor battery life which is at best 50 minutes from the standard 7200 MHN. The third being the siting of the control joystick located on the flimsy LCD screen. I feel this is a stupid place to put this as the screen is liable to get broken. But overall this is still a great very compact camcorder for the price and well worth it.
Customer Review: Oh deary me.
When I first saw this camera on Amazon I honestly thought I’d found the dream camera. The price was good for the features that were offered. However, I soon realised that the JHV GZ-M21E was far from a dream-like… As you’ll have read in other reviews, Amazon messed up and like many other customers I was sent a European version. The plug didn’t fit with any of the voltage converters I tried, but luckily I had access to a shaver socket and used that to charge. We did call them, but - long story short; Amazon’s customer service is pathetic. This is Amazon’s fault so I won’t base the product rating on my bad experience, but unfortunately for JVC, this small piece of awful machinery hardly does itself justice as it is. The video quality isn’t great, but I only used it for YouTube videos so I didn’t complain. The focus was awful - when holding the camera perfectly still it would spontaneously blur, ruining many movies. I’m not sure what gave JVC the fantastic idea of making the camera record into some obscene unique JHV-created format which is only compatible with their FOUL and PESTILENT software, but I can only assume copius amounts of crack. The worst thing about this camera? The battery life. It was awful. I got about 2-3 hours of battery life at a time, even if I just left it on without recording. Conveniently, there was a catalogue of JVC products in the box which included ludicrously priced battery upgrades. And hence, I plan to shout at Amazon until I get a refund, and then buy myself a Sony HD Handycam, the likes of which I’ve heard endless streams of positivity about.

Customer Review: No room for batteries
I’ve just bought this case and the Canon A460. I read that you could get spare batteries in the case, but I’ve tried, and the camera is such a snug fit that you might risk damaging the camera if you did. If you drop the batteries in the bottom of the case, and then insert the camera, the velcro fastener on the flap doesn’t reach. Good protection for the camera, but that’s all.

A cute little bag. But, your A460 camera would snugly fit in here. So there would be no visible space for an extra pair of battery. But I normally manage to fit in a pair of AA size batteries in it, without much discomfort when I wear the bag on my belts.

Customer Review: Disappointing
The reason this camera is getting 3 stars is because the macro mode - when used PROPERLY can produce a very sharp crystal clear close up picture that will even pick up ALL the lines in your finger if you take a picture of your fingerprint.

Otherwise, this is a severe disappointment. I read all the reviews, it got some great ones, but after having used the product, I have to say I’m severly sorry I spent my money on this and wished I’d gotten perhaps an Olympus or something from the Fuji S series.

Although this is a 7 mega pixel camera, the quality of the photos barely shows as 1 megapixel. Every picture comes out extremely grainy even after changing every exposure setting, ISO setting, and flash setting.

The fact detection is finicky and doesn’t work all the time.

Pictures taken on sunny afternoons come out blue - even again after changing for various outdoor settings.

If you like Photography and are looking for something that will get you some great pictures, try a different camera. This is sufficient as a “fun snapping” camera for some spur of the moment events and parties, but is nowhere near capable of the photography that something from the Fuji S series can provide.

Customer Review: Nice little compact camera
Nice camera, quite funky looking and its very portable, not to bulging in the pocket. Although the only problem i seem to be having is that the face detection only detects one face out of like 6 people for example, but its not something i use to often anyway. And also i find sometimes the pictures tend to be a bit out of focus, but only in low light, so its somewhat understandable. All in all, its a good camera if your looking to take it out on nights out and festival events, but if your into arty type photography, go for a Canon or Nikon, as it lets you down when you want to do something fancy.

Customer Review: great camera but developes common fault
Had camera for 18 months, great camera, excellent photos. However it was only used occasionally for family occasions, holidays etc. It developed a fault, the lens stuck out and E18 error appeared on the screen when on holiday. I expected better quality from a Canon, especiaccy when I paid the extra money to purchase a reputable brand.

I bought this camera around 2 years ago. I am not an amature photographer and I find this camera a cut above most digital cameras in the same price range.
