DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator

DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator
Customer Review: Nice looking software - just doesn’t work for me
I have used previous ULead packages before and generally found them very stable. So when looking for software to create a nice dvd I chose this package over others on the market - especially as the v3.0 had good reviews.

First impressions were positive - the program interface is nice and simple, and it is pretty fast at playing back what you have created.

The problems for me started after I had created the basic content - and was trying to edit menus/music etc. Several things just crashed the program. After contact with tech support (who responded but not very fast), I was advised to completely clear the installation off my system and try again. This time, avoiding the pitfalls I knew about, I got to the last screen where the dvd is burnt.

However when I click burn it always crashes - and this is one pitfall that cannot be avoided. I’ve tried their 4.0.1 update but still no luck - it crashes when I try to burn.

So overall quite unhappy with the purchase - I’ll give them some credit for a nicely designed program. If they fix it in the next couple of weeks their rating will go up - if not they will be dropped to a zero :(

Tamrac TA5696 Digital-6 Camera/Camcorder Bag (Fits Fuji S602/Canon MV500 and Similar)
Customer Review: Digital Camera Case
I got this camera case free with the Kodak DX6490 from Amazon. This bag I have to say is perfect for the camera. At the moment in the bag I have the camera, 1 x UV lens in it’s box, 1 x Polarising lens in its box, 1 x lens adaptor, the battery charger, USB cable and my software and I still have plenty of space left. Obviously you don’t need to carry the battery charger, the USB cable or the software with you, but this will give you an idea of roughly what the bag will hold. The bag has an internal section that is held in with velcro which means that you can adjust or remove the internal section to suit your camera. Approx interior size with section removed 15cms deep x 12cms accross x 8cms wide. There are three reasonably sized zip compartments, one on the front for easy access. Approx size 14cms x 8cms. One on the front under the clip fastening that has two small velcro closing compartments and one flap compartment built in. Approx size 14cms x 12cms. Finally there is one on the inside under the top. Approx size 14cms x 7cms. This case is padded all over to help protect your camera from those little knocks. The only bad thing I would have to say about it, is that it’s just too bulky to use the belt loop, however, it does come with a shoulder strap. An ideal buy.
Customer Review: Good bag, but for camera only
This is a great bag, not really as small as people make out in these reviews. That said, it will fit your camera, filters, batteries, memory etc. but no more - no teleconverters, wide converters, adaptor rings etc. This is a pain for me as I carry three such items which need another bag. But as a standalone bag for your average point and shoot, say a camera bag for a family holiday it’s ideal, as it takes the camera and all standard bits. It seems to be fairly well put together and the design/layout is fairly good. I wouldn’t take it out in any more than a rain shower as there appears to be no waterproof membrane. It fits the cameras it is designed for well, although there is certainly no more space for a larger one or a DSLR. The lid is easy to access but holds securely with velcro and a clip, and the sides are sewn around well so it is a good fit and nothing can fall in or out of the bag. For 15.00, this is a good bag.

Customer Review: Great for children
I bought a load of these for use at my school. They are perfect for children to use(or teachers who are not confident with more expensive cameras); they’re simple to operate and results can be shown immediately in MS Media Player via a USB connection. The only drawback is that they record in motion Jpeg which means that they need converting if you want to use the clips in MS Movie maker - however free software can be downloaded from the internet which can convert the files quickly and easily; then children’s creative side can be truly explored. I would recommend rechargeable batteries because they get through a couple of AA batteries each hour of use.

Customer Review: good for newby
having never gone over to digital camaras before i wanted a camara that would be very simple to use and give good clear pictures for around ?50. This fills all of this. the software is easy to use and transfering pictures is a breeze. even a night out with unsteady hands gave great results! it is light and looks more expensive than it is, a pleasure to use, and with a memory card and rechargable batterys complete.
Customer Review: Excellent.
My parents bought me this camera for Christmas - for a bargain price of ?45 from ASDA, I might add - along with a 2GB memory card, and I am so pleased with it. It goes everywhere with me - it’s very light and handy for travel, fitting easily into my handbag and slightly less easily into my pockets. It comes with a strap, which is excellent if, like me, things are prone to leaping unexpectedly from your hands, and is really easy to use on the Auto setting to take quick snaps of your daily adventures, and it’s also very simple to change flash settings, with a nice setting for preventing red-eye - handy for those blue-eyed people you know. :) For those more camera-savvy who are interested in more high-tech photography, the scene settings are quite varied, with settings for snow scenes, action shots, self portraits and many more. It also has a good macro setting for taking close-up photographs, as well as a very capbable auto-focus with center-focus and multi-focus settings which I’ve found help to take clear, sharp pictures whatever the subject. It also features a fairly decent capability for taking videos - although a high-capacity memory card is recommended for those who do want to make a lot of use out of the video function, as they take up a lot of space. Videos have to be uploaded to a computer in order to play sound and I haven’t yet previewed any videos on my computer, but the image playback on the camera screen is of quite a good quality and it’s extremely simple to take a video with the camera; simply switch the setting to ‘video’ and then press the shutter button to record. The camera also features the ability to crop photos and ‘One Touch technology’, which is a really simple photo-editor built into the camera. It’s not quite Photoshop, and it doesn’t work very well on all pictures, but some pictures can be made to look much brighter and clearer with just a few button presses. It’s also really easy to review the pictures you have taken (simple press the ‘review’ button!), and the camera displays both how many picutres you have taken (via a photo number in the top corner of each photograph) and how many you have left to fit onto your memory card, so you’ll never run out of space without warning. With the Easychare software for your computer you can easily arrange your photos into albums both on your computer and on your camera. Another extremely helpful feature is the Help/Information button - for every option on all of the camera’s different menus, you simply have to press this button and it tells you exactly what each option does. It’s just like having a manual built into your camera, and far easier than having to check the index of a paper manual whenever you get a bit lost while you’re learning how your camera works. I’ve noticed that some people find the camera’s lack of an integral battery and chrager to be a slight drawback, but I disagree. Instead of your camera having to be out of action while it charges, you simply have to put new batteries in. However, with regular AA batteries you might find this to be a very expensive venture - I recommend instead buying two Kodak Ni-MH AA rechargable battery packs and a charger for them. I’ve found that these batteries have a comparatively long life (around 4-7 days, depending on on frequency of use) for each charge, and while one set is recharging you can use the other set. All in all, so far I have found it to be an excellent camera choice, whether for a beginner or an experienced photographer. It’s by far worth more than the bargain sale price that my parents purchased it for, and is even worth paying more for it than it’s priced here on Amazon. I have no doubt that there are better cameras out there, but if you’re not willing or able to spend hundreds of pounds then I truly recommend this camera - you’ll be hard-pressed to find another camera of its calibre for less than ?100.

Customer Review: A great Little Product…
This card reader is compact enough to fit in either your camera bag or laptop case. It is fast and supports a lot of different formats, and comes with a little leather ‘glove’ to protect it when on the move. It was recognised by Windows Xp before I could even get the CD in the drive, I installed the included drivers but it worked fine without them as well.

Highly recommended.

Customer Review: No Other card reader does this
Wow, what service, not only day delivery but this must be the only card reader to Read SD-HC cards, I have tried loads b4 but none had worked. This is very nice looking item too, very fast and very small. I could not be happier and highly recommend this product!

Customer Review: Excellent little performer.
This camera is an excellent performer, all you have to do is add the following : 1. Use 2500 mAh (or higher) rechargeable batteries which massively improve battery life. Normal alkaline batteries should not be recommended for digital cameras unless in an emergency. 2. Buy a decent SD card with atleast 2GB..you can find them on Amazon at low prices. These will allow approx 1000 pics on a decent setting or approx 1 hour video ( with sound )record time. The camera is very simple to use ( go on..read the manual ) & surprisingly robust. Colour saturation is excellent & the controls are very simple. The only moans are slow ( & I mean slow ) flash recharge times, sometimes approx. 10 seconds & poor zoom quality in video mode ( don’t bother). If you are mainly shooting outside, this is the camera for point & shooters & an excellent back up for the more experienced. After 2 years of heavy use it hasn’t let us down once, a wonderful piece of kit. Love it.

Customer Review: Digital
This is certainly not a book that could be described as Nikon for idiots or anything remotely close. There is an assumption that you have a reasonable knowledege of digital photography before you begin, which is a bit surprising as Nikon market this camera for the beginner. That said the book is not difficult to follow, providing you have the base knowledge, but not the sort of book for bedtime, it wakes you up!
