Aiptek AHD200 High Definition Camcorder
Customer Review: this product deserves no less then 5 stars!its amazing and so teeny!
This is perfect its soo cute and stylish! it can fit in your pocket and it can take some great videos! i seriously question the other reviewers who said it was 4 stars or less! i cant put it down! iv been recording everything since it arrived. The seller who sold this item to me got it to me soo fast i was surprised. i expected to come next week since i ordered it on monday this week. i recieved it yesterday(wednesday , today is thursday.) it came well packaged and it came with no damage to the product. Oh and yes this camcorder does have a zoom on it it has a tiny joystick that you push up to zoom and down to zoom out.
Customer Review: Good video, bad sound, annoying power limitations
I am trying to rig up a camera in a vehicle to record off-road driving events. The video portion of this camera performed far better than a ?120 mini-dv camcorder (I don’t need zoom) but the in-built microphone can’t handle vibration or loud noise. All I get is distortion and recording artefact squeaks when the truck engine is running. The actual engine noise isn’t loud, the problem is vibration through the camera mount and body is getting to the microphone. The ?120 mini-dv camcorder recorded excellent sound on the same camera mount.
The other issue I have at the moment is that this device won’t allow you to power it from USB while using it. If you plug it into USB it’ll shut down immediately so you can copy video off. If you want to connect to an in-car USB power adapter to power the camera so it can record all day onto a large SD card then you can’t do that as it’ll shut down. I even have some mini-USB power cables that pass power only, it even shuts down when connected to those. It will allow itself to run when connected to its own mains supply (also mini-usb) so it’s possible to do, presumably some trick wiring. There’s no way that I will put a mains inverter in a car that has to tackle wet, boggy terrain so using the supplied mains PSU in a car won’t work for me.
So, all in all, not much good for me, but might be OK for you. Certainly not worth ?200 which it’s being sold for elsewhere, but for around the ?150 mark it’s OK.

Panasonic - NV-GS60 - Mini DV Camcorder
Customer Review: Panasonic GS60
Bought my Panasonic GS60 camcorder from Amazon. I read all the reviews, looked at the Sony, the JVC, and finally went for the Panasonic. I’m glad I did! It’s a great camera, compact (it will fit into a large pocket), very well made, nice looking, and easy to use. The sound and picture quality are both very good. One of the best features is the excelent wide angle lense, great for inside shots. Minus points (and at this price I’m being very picky) no where to attach a light, and it doesn’t take a memory card (which I never use anyway). Thanks for your review Dave!
Customer Review: Great budget camcorder
Good points are excellent, vivid, accurate outdoor colours, effective image stabilisation and totally intuitive usage. The night vision facility is a poor gimmick, but who wants this anyway? No external microphone input, but again, you can live without that. Handling, build quality, weight and range of optical zoom are all great. Bought Amazon’s cheapest firewire card and lead for my PC at less than a tenner, so downloading for editing is a doddle. Make sure you have a big hard drive for the video files. The guy who thought it worse than his mobile phone cannot be serious!

Customer Review: A Lightweight Compact Solution
I was looking for a case that did NOT turn a lightweight & compact camcorder (Sony DCR-HC35) into a heavy large item to carry around whilst out & about, the LCS-VAC lived up to my expectations, it can hold (in addition to the camcorder)1-2 spare tapes, the remote control & a spare battery OR additional small still camera. If you do not take the mains charger with you everywhere you walk to, then this is the case for you. I Paid ?[...] including postage which is much cheaper then anywhere else I have seen since.

Customer Review: good buy
I only got the bag last week, but feel quite pleased with the purchase. The design seems to be quite well thought out in terms of compartments and exterior. It is not very flashy and therefore does not advertise your camera in an unwanted way, unlike cases made by camcorder producers. The bag is just right for my compact Sony ‘52′, but others may not fit, so do check interior and exterior dimensions provided with Product Information.
Customer Review: Quality
Usual top quality camera bag from LowePro. Everything works perfectly, with smooth running zips and thoughtful little design touches like the microfibre cleaning cloth and memory card pouch. My Panasonic FZ18 fits perfectly inside and I know it will be totally protected.
