Customer Review: Not too bad at all
Like the other reviews, this is a good little DVD camcorder. It’s a great size, looks the part but you can see where Canon have cut costs with the cheap lens cap and charging jack. Picture is quite noisy in darker shoots (grainey). I too was dissappointed by the lack of PC editing (the camera comes with no software) but have since discovered you can probably use Premiere Elements 5 as it recognises the file format the Canon uses. Perhaps someone can verify for me? In summary 4 stars, I would have given 5 but for the small annoyances.
Customer Review: Great for only watching back and back…
To me, I was extremley excited when I bought this camcorder from Comet, at the price it seemed like a fantastic buy, but then when I tried to play what I had recorded on my DVD player, it roughly played and jolted at times. When I watched it on the camcorder itself, it was fine. The quality and sound that it records at is fantastic. The biggest dissapointment however, is the fact that it’s is almost impossible to edit videos on the computer. As this is an AV camcorder, the computer cannot read it at all. I also can’t find any software that will let me convert it. I would only advise buying this if you did not want to edit what you record otherwise it’s a huge dissapointment.

Customer Review: Zoom too noisy
There was no previous review for this video camera, but as the cheaper models seemed to have got quite good reviews and it looks good I thought this would be a safe bet! Unfortunately, although there are some very good features including the bundled software the biggest problem was the noise from the optical zoom. The motor used to move the lens is so loud it is picked up by the microphone, it is so evident on playback that you can’t use the zoom function! The auto focus seems slow to respond and not always accurate, so overall I can’t recommend this particular model.
