Customer Review: Better than the reviews
Looks great, professional styling, nice to hold and feels much better than average build quality for this level of camera. Easy to use. Optical stabilisation is weak, but perhaps you shouldn’t expect it to do too much when zooming in. Good range of easily accessed manual controls. Down side is that none of the accessories are available in the UK at present - eg: external mic, carrying case, lense adaptors etc. Also, the TOD file system is a bit of a pain by not allowing file transfer in full HD mode direct into Final Cut Express or iMovie 08 on a Mac - but there are simple workarounds and image quality is still impressive - but I’m judging it simply as a user rather than an enthusiast….. For me it certainly does what I want and notwithstanding naff reviews in the specialist magazines I would still recommend it. Prices do vary tremendously though, so shop around!

Customer Review: My first camcorder
I did a lot of research and soul searching before parting with my pound notes for this camera. I am new to the Camcorder arena so I guess my comments are true lay-terms as opposed to other experienced users on this page. Delivery was right on the button, thanks Amazon. The Camcorder is stunning stuff, great build quality compared to other makes in the price range and it works ‘just like it says on the tin’ The picture quality is great, the instruction manual gets nine out of ten for accuracy and the software that’s supplied works fine even on my old cranky laptop.(a bit slow though.) I took time to read some of the help files in the software suite and the .tod issue is not a problem if you use the JVC software, so I haven’t found the need to buy other editing software to produce DVDs etc. Everything I need was in the box except an iLink/firewire cable to download the pics to my recorder. I went to the camera shop and they wanted fifteen quid for one (Dick Turpin rules)so I got one on Amazon for under five quid. Happy filming.

I am so pleased with this cam its light easy to use and for the money, you cant ask more. Its tiny and i mean tiny fits in palm of your hand and does not weigh much at all. its great buy one, you wont regret it;0) I spent ages looking all over the web and the reviews for this cam on amazon, were enough to make me order it.
Customer Review: Best miniDV camcorder for under ?200
A brilliant little camcorder. Served me well for almost a year now and nothing has gone wrong, with marvelous picture and video quality despite the price (?150 when I got it). It is really small and, although it uses tapes, you would usually transfer your footage to the computer and then rewind the tape to use it again so you don’t have to buy more tapes. Each tape holds 60 mins on high quality or 90 mins on low quality. You can also plug your camcorder into the TV or watch the videos which you put onto the computer on a DVD! Apart from what I have already said, there are many more things you can do with the camcorder such as black and white mode, snow or sand mode and portrait mode. Trust Samsung, don’t be fooled by the ridiculously low price!

I am very pleased with this camera its so simple to use and the video comes out great as does the pictures. Easy to hold and small enough to fit in the pocket.It starts up quick and being able to fit 60min of hd video on a 2gb sd card is fantastic.Converting the MOV format in Windows Vista is no problem with the software provided. The only drawback i had is taking photos in bad lighting using the flash, the flash takes time to reload, but all in all its a very good camera

This is perfect its soo cute and stylish! it can fit in your pocket and it can take some great videos! i seriously question the other reviewers who said it was 4 stars or less! i cant put it down! iv been recording everything since it arrived. The seller who sold this item to me got it to me soo fast i was surprised. i expected to come next week since i ordered it on monday this week. i recieved it yesterday(wednesday , today is thursday.) it came well packaged and it came with no damage to the product. Oh and yes this camcorder does have a zoom on it it has a tiny joystick that you push up to zoom and down to zoom out.
