Customer Review: The worst software ever!
I have been editing video for DVD for many years, starting with Studio 8, then Studio 9+. Recently I updated to Studio 10+TE. Projects that used to take 4 days now has taken 6 weeks, without resolution, and cost 15 blank DVDs in the process. This is the most unstable software I have ever used, and if it was free, it would still be overpriced. Pinnacles technical help were of no use whatsoever, saying that the next patch may solve my many problems. Buy it at your peril!
Customer Review: Export Failure (render error)
I bought Studion 10.6 in May and quickly found out that it needed an update to 10.7 from Pinnacle’s site. First attempts to create a DVD failed - Export Failure (render error) - that wasted 2 disks. I then switched to creating MPEG-2 DVD compatible files. Every time I try this with any length of sequence I get a similar problem. I’ve tried all the tricks of deleting auxiliary files, reinstalling, etc, but still no good. Pinnacle support have not exactly been helpful - with the only practical suggestion being the uninstall/reinstall. Also if you look on Pinnacle’s forum there are lots of other users with similar problems - there must be some inherent fault with the software. My recommendation to any prospective purchaser would be to look elsewhere.

Bought this for my stepson, and he’s very pleased with it. His band are recording their first album for their new record label, and he came home for the Easter break with a load of clips, most of them taken inside and all very clear (it comes with an AV lead so you can play clips through your TV). The resolution is fine for video; it’s about the same as standard analogue TV pictures. It doesn’t look jerky either. He did find that the batteries that came with the camera lasted about 5 minutes, but ‘proper’ AAs and/or rechargeables have been fine; it’s not a fault with the camera. The fact that it uses standard AAs is very handy. It also feels a bit flimsy, but I think that’s at least partly just due to a lack of moving parts. And at this price, you can’t complain.

Baught this thinking it would be decent wuality and cheap. Video and picture quality in itself is great for such a price, Device itself is 2 light which kinda got me wondering as soon as i had picked it up. Editing software is ok but rather use windows movie maker as it has alto more freedom. When i go tmy camera it was defective, whenever i tried to take a picture it would reboot (The battery said it was dead after about 1 min and 5 seconds of recording time) I got a replacement which worked fine for about 1 day then the exact same defect started up. a few of my friends have had Aiptek camcorders before and they all said that there was atleast 1 defect in the hardware or software part of the camcorder. All in all i give this item 0/5 stars… of course if i give 0 on here no1 will see how poo it is.
