As a few comments above i was also apprehensive about buying this DV camera. But trust me, it is an amazing piece of kit, I haven’t had a problem with it yet. The image quality is great outdoors and the photo quality is excellent everywhere. I’ve bought a 2 gig memory chip for this camera and its great fun A recommended buy for the amateur film-maker

what a waste of money. The instruction manual is about 3/4 thick but only 20 pages in English If you can get it to work and decide to record something,do not use the zoom feature, or move anything near the camera as the mic picks up the sound. You end up with a movie with clicking sounds from the zoom feature. The camera I have now is the second one as the first packed in at the first use. spend more to get something that is worthwhile pity we cannot give no star so a 1 will have to do. Even then the camera does not deserve it
