Customer Review: ok for party snaps
I’m usually a great fan of Fuji but I wasn’t that impressed and have decided to buy something different. If you’re only using it for parties and snapshots, it’s great. Solid, lightweight, functional and packed full of gadgets and gizmos…not to mention very pretty! If, however, you’re after something a bit more serious, you can get a lot better for less.
In darker conditions, without flash, there is a lot of noise on the images. The shake control makes no differene. In fact, even in bright daylight, the camera manages to blur pictures. Internal lenses aren’t a great idea anyway. The flash isn’t as intelligent as it claims to be - there was far too much bleaching of subjects.
Overall, good for nights out but not for much more.

For users who prefer to use flash the FinePix Z100fd boasts Fujifilm’s Intelligent Flash system, which sets the power output to achieve natural foreground illumination with balanced background exposure. Intelligent Flash results in visibly more pleasing, natural looking photos, avoiding the harsh lighting effect that can occur with traditional in-camera flash.
For times when a decision about lighting could mean a missed photo opportunity, the FinePix Z100fd’s Natural Light plus Flash mode takes two photos in quick succession, one with flash and one without. Both photos are then displayed side by side for quick comparison so users won’t miss the moment fiddling about with flash settings.

My 11 year old received this for a birthday gift from a friend, who said she uses hers all the time I was not really excited because my daughter doesnt spend alot of time on the computer, she would rather be outside and active. But the first day she got it we had a blast, first taking the photos then putting the journal together, i helped her get it all downloaded etc, but afther that she was on her own…it is a really cool gift for about the 10-11 year old range I dont know about younger children and olders children might like something a little better quality but for 10-11 year olds its perfect

I purchased one for each of my girls (9 &10). They just love being able to create their own journals with pictures of their friends. All and all I would say it is an ok first digital camera. I also had some problems with one of them and it was quickly replaced by Amazon. That is excelent costomer service.

MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN REQUESTING THIS TOY ALONG WITH A MILLION OTHER TOYS FOR THE PAST TWO CHRISTMAS. INSTEAD OF GETTING IT ON CHRISTMAS, SHE RECEIVED IT AS A REWARD FOR ALWAYS MAKING THE HONOR ROLL AT SCHOOL. SHE WAS SO EXCITED. SHE OPEN IT IMMEDIATELY AND BEGAN TAKING PICTURES OF HERSELF AND HER COUSINS. THE CAMERA TAKES A PICTURE OF THE PERSON AND THEY APPEAR ON THE T.V. YOU CAN ADD DIFFERENT HAIRSTYLE TO SEE HOW YOU LOOK. THE CONCEPT IS NICE BUT LIMITED. AFTER THIRTY MINUTES, MY DAUGHTER WAS BORED WITH IT. MY DAUGHTER IS TEN YEARS OLD AND IS GOOD WITH FIGURING THINGS OUT. Customer Review: Disappointing for the price
I bought this for my 7-year old daughter for Christmas. She saw it in a magazine and asked for it. I was skeptical based on the other reviews but I bought it anyway. The picture quality is very poor even after using bright lights. My daughter ended up just playing with the existing models that it comes with and seemed to be happy with that but for what I paid, this is a waste of money.
