I recommend this product because it does work and works well. It works best with heavy cream, but honestly, even then you end up with something between store-bought consistency and soft-serve, but it’s reasonably firm soft-serve and the best part is adding your own ingredients. Great for the kids. Word to the wise, though, don’t overfill the bowl, because if the cream starts to rise and curl over the edge of the bowl you can’t shut the unit off to do damage control, because in no time at all the ice cream will freeze to the side of the bowl and then you won’t be able to turn the unit back on! As I found out.
