Customer Review: Pay for the name not the picture quality
I bought this TV based on some good reviews and the name. As this was our first LCD TV, we had no major expectations.
I was surprised, however, at the amount of motion lag (where the picture is blurred) and a poor level of picture quality when up close. Some of this, I understand, is an issue with all LCDs but when I later purchased another LCD (Panasonic 32″) I realised that part of this was down to this TV. I would recommend buying a picture with a higher level of contrast (this is just 1300:1, whereas my Panasonic 8500:1)
Otherwise, the viewing angle is good and there have been no major issues with its functioning since we bought in May 07.

I think the TV is great. Sadly it came with Freeview and so I now have two teenage kids who watch endless repeats for Scrubs and Friends and anything else they can find to stare at so I am selling it. BBC 3 & 4 for me are the exception but the rest is awful. I have polled my friends and they have the same feedback. I have warned the kids but they don’t listen. If you have teenage kids who are quite sporty and reasonably bright don’t buy one of these with freeview. Rant over
