Most motorists would rather pay up than claim on insurance
September 25th, 2007What motoring convictions or endorsements should I disclose?
Motoring convictions or endorsements, including fixed penalties, in the last 5 years should be disclosed for all drivers. (This includes convictions that have been removed from your licence where you received a fine).
You should also disclose any pending prosecutions i.e. if you have recently been stopped for speeding or for not having insurance and you are aware that you will receive a conviction on your licence, you should select the most suitable conviction code from the list - for example SP30 is speeding on a public road, IN10 is driving without insurance etc. If you are unsure, please call us on 0800 99 1066 for assistance.
If any driver has had more than 3 convictions in the last 5 years or has a conviction that is not listed, we are unable to provide you with a quotation on-line. Hastings Direct may still be able to offer you car insurance - please call us on 0800 99 1066.
