Customer Review: Spend a little extra and get the larger electronic rat killer instead
I have used both these mouse killer units and the larger, more expensive electronic rat killer / zapper type units advertised elsewhere on Amazon and Ebay. I don’t currently have a mouse problem but have a relative of mine who recently needed a few mice gotten rid of quickly from her home. First we tried the electronic mouse unit in combination with poison. This was not really effective as a solution - only one kill over several weeks with evidence of the odd mouse or two still remaining. In desperation rather than expectation we bought the larger electronic rat killer, after reading customer reviews which said that it was very effective against mice. Within the first two days of use, we had a couple of kills with the larger electronic rat killer and have had no sign of any more mice since. The bigger unit also has the advantage that there is no need to handle or even see the mouse body when disposal. I would advise spending the extra ?10 or so (including p and p) and getting a rat killer / zapper unit instead of the mouse killer unit as the bigger unit is simply more effective and convenient. I guess the mice more readily wander into the rat killer unit than the mouse version because of the bigger entry hole, and get nailed due to the larger kill plates. The electronic rat killer is probably more humane than the smaller mouse unit too as it gives the mouse a more powerful zap! Not very economic mind….

Started off well enough and killed 11 mice in a row. Then it just stopped working, even though I replaced the batteries. Is it worth ?25 to kill ~11 mice? Could have been of better quality.

Customer Review: Geoff was an Amazing Man!
This collecion is a must have for all people that loves gardens. I’m in Australia and the climate is different from England but the series is so packed of precious knowledge that I’m finding myself watching the DVD’s over and over again. I’m an horticulturist but still find invaluable knowledge and I find it even more precious because is coming from the heart. Geoff was a very nice and enthusiastic person, with great love for gardening; and you can feel this watching and hearing him. I also love the pace of the series, not rushing like many modern programs that are a very fast pace. Geoff takes time to explain things in simple english and showing heaps of examples, historical connections, interviews and beautiful gardens of both pro and amateurs. This is one of the best DVD’s I ever bought, a real pearl! But if you like modern, cold, garden designs than this series is not for you.

Geoff Hamilton was THE architypal gardener. His easy-natured approach and love of traditional gardening methods have stood the test of time, and always will do. The 3 dvd’s are beautifully filmed, wonderfully atmospheric and thoroughly informative. Geoff creates some stunning gardens and, along the way, meets several other gardeners (I must mention old George in “Cottage Gardens” - a hero of mine) and this adds to the flavour of the series, and should inspire anyone pick up a fork and get cracking. Buy it - it’s a wonderful way to spend an evening in front of the telly.

Customer Review: An absolute joy.
After 26 years, I still think this is one of the best children’s television series ever made. The often touching story of a young orphan girl waking up to the simple beauty of the world around her, and finding lasting friendship along the way, perfectly captures the spirit of magic and discovery those more sensitive individuals among us associate with childhood. For those reared on the excellent 1993 film version, this original BBC series is still well worth watching, as it sticks more closely to the book and has a charming lead performance from Sarah Hollis Andrews that is every bit as delightful as Kate Maberly’s, plus sympathetic performances from the supporting cast. My only gripe is directed at the BBC, for their continual inability to release even classic programmes like this in their original format. Seven 25-30 minute episodes condensed into a single feature-length block of 107 minutes? It’s disappointing the quantity of material they’ve arbitrarily excised. That aside, if you’re in any way the sort to be bitten by nostalgia, and you remember this from way back, buy it now! Excellent viewing!!

The Goodies were in most people eye’s a kids version of Monty Python - (including John Cleese)- zany, groovy! wacked out silliness! And bloody funny! Grab these discs while you can- (know this is the LWT series) but the BBC in their wisdom left the original films to literally rot in the archives and not many episodes survive. Even the bbc dvd releases are rumoured to have been put together after they sought out collectors and remastered old videoed episodes for their release as they didn’t have the originals. So unless they do this to the other ‘old video copies’ doing the rounds on P2P shares- it’s going to be hard to see this classic comedy in it’s entirety on dvd unless you show an interest and buy the dvd’s. Bring back those memories-

This is the only official complete series of the ‘GOODIES’,and contains the usual mixed bag of out-and-out gems, with one or two reheated themes……..overall, the standard is high enough to warrant purchase; picture/sound quality is fine, gag-quota is high, with many elaborate visual stunts of which this team is celebrated. One episode: ‘HOLIDAY’ –is studio-only, which affords textured interplay within the team. Apparantly, this series of 7 25-min shows reportedly cost as much as the entire BBC output of 70 shows…..GO FIGURE! VISUALLY impressive as ever, with only token ITV ‘forced laughter’ from the studio audience. This show translates to the commercial channel far better than other COMEDY exports. —-FINE.

Customer Review: Fantastic Concert - brought to life with Blu-Ray
Wow, where do I start. I initially bought the normal DVD version of this concert and was impressed with it. The concert itself is amazing and the whole show is stunning and action packed from start to finish. I got a blu-ray enabled laptop with true HiDef screen so thought I would buy the Blu-Ray version of the concert. Boy, am I glad I did!! The quality is absolutely amazing. The sound is perfect and there is such a massive difference in the visual quality. If you have the original DVD, a Blu-Ray player and HiDef TV and like JT, I URGE you to get this disk. You will NOT be dissappointed, I promise you that.
Customer Review: Amazing, entertaining show!
After seeing this show live in Birmingham I think this Blu-Ray does a superb job of recreating the feel and vibe from the live show. The concert is varied and well paced, with a good song selection. I would say its longer than your average pop concert too. I particularly like the extended “mixes” that they do on a few of the songs. Thankfully these extended songs are not boring or self indulgent, they really are cool and I find myself skipping back to them because they are that good. On this Blu-Ray version I’m tempted to say its the best show off disc yet. The picture and sound are almost flawless. It looks VERY sharp. Better than almost any other Blu-Ray I’ve ever seen. My one negative comment would be that there are multiple cameras used to cover this concert and in my opinion, whilst all appear HD the main central camera gives you an even crisper brighter shot than the wider angle, edge of the stage cameras. Still 95% perfect though on the image. Sound is well placed, no much stereo separation but again, very high production costs throughout.

Customer Review: Hahoo!
Like almost every other under five in the country my son loves the show ‘In the night garden‘. To ease his transition from cot to bed we bought him the official duvet and on a whim I bought this pillow to go with it. It’s a really nice item, very cuddly and a reasonable size. It is very soft, like cushties if that helps anyone. My son loved it. I heard him in the morning when he woke up saying ‘hahoo’ to himself. Best of all, when the craze is over this will still be a pillow…and those are always good to have extras of! Unlike a lot of the cheap toys available I would say this was worth the money. ; )

I’m something of an armchair gardener - all the pleasure and none of the work - and this book satisfied my liking to read about beautiful gardens. Its chapters are titled according to the monastic hours, echoing the house’s monastic past. The author created a dreamlike garden out of a field beside her Shropshire house. The book is a description of the genesis of that garden with digressions into history, herbalism, religion and the uses and growing habits of the plants she seeks to cultivate. The writing is brilliantly clear and the garden comes to life as you read. There are line drawings in the style of illustrations from a medieval book of hours, though no photographs, together with a plan of the layout of the garden This is a book to be enjoyed by anyone who has an interest in gardening, history or the spirit of human endeavour. To create such a magnificent garden is truly a labour of love

Customer Review: My favourite plant book
Loving this book but there are down sides! Im not sure about the way its layed out. The book is split into two sections the first is layed out in a strange mix of plant type and flower colour. The second is the description etc that is layed out in the normal alphabetical way. Still all the excellent colour pictures make up for any bad points.
