Oregon Scientific RM313PNA-B Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor

Oregon Scientific RM313PNA-B Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor
Housed in high-tech blue plastic, this alarm clock is far more sophisticated than its cute appearance may lead one to believe. Whether you check on the time by consulting the clock’s LCD screen or by looking at a large red-light projection of the time beamed onto a wall or ceiling, you’ll know it’s accurate. That’s because the clock is equipped with a radio receiver tuned to the U.S. Atomic Clock, and keeps time with split-second accuracy by automatically adjusting, if necessary, to the Atomic Clock’s signals six times every 24 hours. From those signals, the 5-1/4-by-4-1/2-inch clock (2-1/2 inches thick) not only shows the precise time, but also displays the date and day, with automatic adjustment for daylight-saving time and leap year, according to the North American time zone for which the clock is set. (The day can be shown in English, Spanish, or French.)
The red-light projection makes it possible to check the time without squinting. If the clock is in battery mode (two AA batteries required but not included), pressing the clock’s snooze bar will beam the time onto the ceiling for five seconds–and also backlight the LCD screen. If the clock is plugged into a wall socket with an AC adapter (included), the projection and backlighting will be available either for five seconds with the snooze bar or continuously if a continuous-beam control is set. As a backup, you can set the time, day, and date manually as well as automatically. –Fred Brack
Customer Review: Great travel clock
I purchased the clock to use as a travel alarm clock. I have another projection clock for home, so thought a travel projection clock would be pretty cool. I found it works great. I love seeing the time on the ceiling.
Customer Review: Projection Alarm Clock
Oregon Scientific RM313PNA-B Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor. I already had one of these clocks I received as a gift and I love it. I need my glasses to see the time at night, so with the time projected on the ceiling, I just have to turn my head and look up and I have the time. I got the second one for when I am traveling. I would recommend this product with no hesitation.

Customer Review: Encylopedia?
Whilst an excellent read, I am utterly befuddled as to how a bastion of Britishness such as the RHS could produce such a tome, filled, as it is, to the very gunnels with useful advice for any gardener, without managing the relatively simple accompanying feat of spelling the word encyclopaedia correctly. Perhaps there is a new American royalty which has somehow escaped my attention?
Customer Review: Got a garden?, then buy this book
Got a garden? Then buy this book. Don’t argue, just buy it! Every once in a while you encounter a book which is just head an shoulders above the others in its subject and this is one of those books. Having this book is a little like having an experienced gardener over one fence who can give a kindly word when he sees you about to make an expensive mistake with the wrong plant or wrong treatment while at the same time over the opposite fence is an expert DIY fan who can tell you which tool to use and how to level your ground before constructing a patio. As others have said this is a book which will rapidly pay for itself simply because it can stop you making those mistakes. Is there anything it won’t do. Well obviously it can not be absolutely comprehensive. If you want to construct a zen garden it won’t tell you the finer points of feng shui to know how to align the garden. Indeed any highly specific subjects it won’t cover but for a single point of reference this is excellent. This is a book in the spirit of gardening before TV makeover programmes tried to tell people that ripping out all your top soil and putting down decking was gardening so while it won’t bother with the fripperies of design it will deal with the practicalities and as others have said that will save you more than the cost of this book in avoiding expensive mistakes. This is an absolute must buy for anyone who is into or who wants to be into gardening. I have used my previous copy for years and I would expect this new edition to last just as long. Look at it in that light and this is not an expensive book but it is an invaluable one.
